Four official stages from Satriano di Lucania to Viggiano. Accommodation is not available throughout: arrange camping for the first two stages following the operator’s instructions. The shelters on the first two stages are not operating and Piano Imperatore shelter is closed. Arrange camping and overnight stops before setting off.
The high-altitude sanctuary hosts the Madonna from the first Sunday in May to the first Sunday in September; in other months she is in the basilica of Viggiano.
