Arezzo
The Tuscan Via di Francesco is a network: Firenze–La Verna has northern and southern routes; La Verna–Anghiari has eastern and western routes; other sections continue towards Arezzo and Cortona. The network’s total distance does not represent one continuous itinerary. Individual stages are not created by dividing the total length.
Visit Tuscany reports a closure on the left bank of the Arno near Piazza Ravenna and indicates the parallel cycle route to rejoin the trail: check the update before setting off.
The portal distinguishes Firenze–La Verna north (96.3 km) and south (91 km), La Verna–Anghiari east (64 km) and west (47.4 km), La Verna–Arezzo (47.5 km) and Anghiari–Cortona (69.9 km). These are alternative branches, not consecutive stages.
