A short or flat stage is not necessarily accessible. Check the surface, gradients, path width, steps, crossings and alternatives with the local source. Distances and GPX tracks do not certify wheelchair access.
Ask about step-free access, door widths, accessible bathrooms and showers, lifts, space for mobility aids and charging. For taxis and transfers, provide the dimensions of your aid and assistance needs before booking.
Where to stayRead the text-based stage descriptions and use Listen if helpful. Arrange written or spoken directions, clear meeting points and the support you need. Important notices should be understandable without relying on sound or colour.
Accessibility and listeningPlan stages with breaks, water and shade; consider heat and terrain. Carry water, a bowl, a lead and waste bags. Discuss your pet’s readiness with your vet and note a clinic near your stops, checking opening hours and emergency availability.
Confirm with the accommodation before booking: species, size, number of pets, room access, fees and conditions. Do not assume a pilgrim hostel accepts pets. Check trains, buses, flights and protected-area rules separately.
