How we select information

We use official route sources, mapping data and references shown on each page. Passing through a place does not mean you must stop there: adapt your stages to your pace, the season and available accommodation.

Distances from sources may differ from those calculated from tracks. Estimated elevation figures are labelled as estimates. Missing data is explicitly indicated.

Maps, accommodation and updates

Maps and accommodation lists may be incomplete. Check opening times, prices, availability, drinking water and trail conditions directly with the provider or relevant source.

Community reports help identify changes; check the date and compare several sources before setting off.

Transparency

Sponsor placements and commercial links are identifiable. A property appearing on the map does not mean its quality or availability has been verified.
